1. Who we are
711 Breakdown Recovery ("we", "us", "our") provides nationwide roadside assistance across the UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or contact us, how we use it, and your rights. We are the data controller for the information described below.
2. What we collect
When you submit a "Check Availability" form, call, or message us, we may collect:
- Your name and phone number
- Your vehicle registration and/or tyre size, where provided
- Your location or postcode
- Details of the service you need and any notes you provide
We do not ask for or store payment card details on this website.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange your roadside assistance callout
- Allocate your job to our own fleet or to an appropriate vetted partner in our nationwide network, where necessary to reach you
- Contact you about the status of your callout
- Maintain records for accounting and legal purposes
The legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request prior to entering one), and our legitimate interest in providing and coordinating roadside assistance efficiently.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information with:
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger): this website is hosted with Hostinger, and enquiry form submissions are processed by a script running on our own hosting and emailed directly to us — they are not shared with any third-party form processor.
- The fleet member or partner operator assigned to your job: where your callout is fulfilled by a partner within our network rather than our own team, we share the minimum information necessary — typically your name, phone number, location and vehicle details — so they can complete your job. Regardless of who carries out the work, 711 Breakdown Recovery remains responsible for the service you receive.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Third-party services used on this website
This website uses a small number of third-party services that may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) as part of normal operation:
- Google Fonts — used to display the website's typefaces.
- Google Maps — embedded on our location pages to show our coverage areas.
These services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's own privacy policy.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil your request and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our Company Information page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details on how this website uses cookies and similar technologies.
9. Children's privacy
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
